PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2008-20
WEST SIDE ANNEXATION PLAN

On December 15, 2008, the Evansville mayor’s office announced the city’s intention to annex a 2,142 acre area of West Side properties. The proposed area for annexation is approximately bounded by the Perry Township limit (coincident with the Indiana/Kentucky state line), the Union Township boundary limit, and just west of Boehne Camp Road to Middle Mt. Vernon Road to the north. It incorporates most of the commercial development just west of Red Bank Road.

ORDINANCE 2008-20 IS NOW DEAD
As of August 22, 2009, the Evansville City Council failed to act on ordinance 2008-20 within the timeframe specified by Indiana Codes. Therefore ordinance 2008-20 is dead. The mayor has unofficially announced redrawn West Side annexation boundaries - you can review details of the redrawn boundaries here.
